The garden hosts Afterschool programming for youth ages 5 to 16.
Participants learn Louisiana ecology, sustainable gardening, healthy cooking techniques, how to raise healthy and happy chickens and bees, arts and crafts, and how to express their creativity with plants.
In the kitchen, we teach basic knife skills and cooking techniques while highlighting the heritage of the produce we grow and use. All of the food we prepare is given to participants and students on campus with extra distributed in the community.
