SOLOMON Z

SOLOMON Z is an eclectic artist using the dramatics of opera as an influence for their sound. This is exemplified throughout these songs: Autumn Nostalgia, It’s Easier, and Afro in the Sink.

BRYSIN

Keelan Bryson Jiles Jr. is my real name but isn’t it easier to just say Brysin. I’m cool if you’re cool. Anyways, I’m excited for you to hear what I’ve done here at Material. I put together this cool piece of work called, “I Saw You in My Dreams Again.” Long winded I know, but it’ll make a lot of sense once you dive in. You should check it out whenever you have some time.

WHITNEY MIXON

New Orleans-born, award-winning performer whose journey in music, theater, and dance began at a young age. As the front-woman of her band, Whit It, she brings together funk, jazz, and R&B in a style that’s dynamic and expressive.Mixon’s upcoming debut album, Mix Up, explores themes of self-love, clarity, and personal evolution. She extends her deepest thanks to Material Institute for the space, support, and creative freedom to bring this project to life.

THE GET

The GET is an electro-folk band from New Orleans, founded by Nicaraguan singer-songwriter and guitarist George Elizondo. With a unique approach that blends electronic music, folk, art rock, and post-punk, the band has stood out for its ability to combine acoustic instruments with beats and synthesizers creating a distinctive and experimental sound.

The GET’s lineup includes Chris Beroes-Haigis on cello and effects, and Vivi del Río on backing vocals, keyboards, drum machine, synthesizers, and effects. Together, the trio explores a vast sonic universe that spans genres and styles ranging from Latin music to electronic avant-garde.

Elizondo’s Nicaraguan and Cuban background shows up clearly in The GET’s bilingual songwriting—songs flow between English and Spanish, reflecting a dual cultural identity and a deep sense of place. Their music nods to influences like Gustavo Cerati, Spinetta, Juana Molina, Sybille Baier, James Blake, and Radiohead still sounding entirely their own.

The GET is currently working on their debut album, El Paraíso, set to drop in early 2026.
