At Material Camp, young artists spend two weeks developing and sharing their stories through materials

Artists discover and work with soil, textiles, and sound to make visual and edible art. Guided by teachers and mentors with professional experience, young artists will experiment and learn how to design shirts; shape vases, bowls, sculpture; and arrange songs that reflect their creative voice.

We believe that learning and growing happens in relationship — with material, each other, and the natural world. Through this exchange, young artists will see new possibilities for their creative futures.
